A Quick Primer On Soft Washing
When many customers in Port Allegany or elsewhere think of pressure washing, they tend to think of water and soap sprayed at a surface at high-pressure settings to blast away dirt and grime. This tends to give customers pause when they're considering booking a pressure washing service, such as house washing or gutter cleaning.
In truth, many pressure washing companies - including ours - rarely use high-pressure settings. Using high-pressure settings during a pressure washing increases the risk of property damage, which, as pressure washing experts, we strive to avoid. This is why we primarily use a technique known as soft washing.
What, exactly, is soft washing? Today, we're going to give you a bit of a primer!
Soft Washing Entails Exactly What The Name Implies
Soft washing is called soft washing because the water pressure settings used during the process are very low or "soft." This is a process in which the water does very little of the actual work, as opposed to general pressure washing, where water pressure is just as important as the cleaning solution or hand work itself.
In fact, sometimes, soft washing uses no water pressure at all during the process!
The Cleaning Solutions Do Most Of The Work
While the water pressure takes a backseat in soft washing, environmentally safe cleaning solutions step up and do the majority of the work. During soft washing services, such as house cleaning or roof cleaning, the cleaning solution applied acts to lift dirt and grime from the exterior surface being cleaned. The water acts as a gentle wash, simply rinsing all the dirty stuff away.
